This past Friday, Some of our KHS Seniors traveled to IUN to take part in the Traveling Oral Argument. Students got the opportunity to interact with local judges and see a little bit of their government class come to life.

Congratulations on Tru Henrichs, Daisy Nicolas, and Sophia Heaton for all earning 1st place medals in their events at the DECA district competition this past weekend. The 3 of them and 9 additional Kouts students (who are in events that go direct to state) will represent KHS at the state DECA competition in March. Congratulations to all of the Kouts DECA members for a very strong performance.

The seniors in Ms. Chatwell's English 12 finished their satire unit in December.
They were tasked with using their knowledge of satirical techniques to conceive of a product and film a commercial. They had to employ at least 3 satirical tools and include at least two of the following: a slogan, logo, jingle, or mascot.
Groups worked together to record, edit, and present the final product at the Chatty Premier party. Votes for the best commercial were tallied. Chatty awards were distributed. This year's "Best of..." award was given to Hunter Williams, Max Musumeci, DJ Trumbo, and Dustin Pavlick. Congratulations, gentlemen!!
